General
What are the solutions to bedwetting?
There are several solutions to bedwetting. Which method is best for your child depends very much on what the situation is.
Bedwetting method
This method is most often recommended by general practitioners and specialists because of its long-term effect. Usually bedwetting does not stop from day one. The bedwetting alarm method trains the communication between the brain and the bladder. The bladder thus learns to recognize the signal of a full bladder. The bedwetting alarm is a lasting method. On average, the training takes two to a maximum of three months.
Medication
The advantage of medication is that you have an immediate effect. The kidneys are inhibited from producing urine at night. This is useful when your child goes to camp, or has a sleepover. The medication does nothing else about the problem. If you stop taking it, there is a good chance that bedwetting will start again.
Waiting
Per year, about 11 percent of bedwetting children experience a "spontaneous cure. The switch has flipped and the signals are suddenly recognized. We strongly advise against this method because a child's self-esteem can be seriously affected. Children who bedwash are less likely to go out with friends and feel very limited by this annoying problem.
When do you use a bedwetting alarm?
Over 95% of all children who suffer from bedwetting can be helped by the Dryly® Bedwetting Alarm Method. We recommend that children who have a medical problem, or who have recently experienced an intense event, visit their family doctor first.
We find that it usually takes a very long time to be referred to a specialist through the family doctor. Since the bedwetting alarm method has no side effects, we recommend that you just give it a try. Chances are that the bedwetting alarm will help your child enormously, and there is also a chance that your health insurance company will cover all or part of the cost , so you might even be able to work on dry nights for free!
Is bedwetting alarm training valuable for my child?
A bedwetting alarm training program is generally appropriate for children 4/5 years old and older who have difficulty staying dry at night. It is especially effective when your child is motivated to work toward a solution and has no known medical conditions that cause bedwetting. Research shows that bedwetting has no physical cause in 98% of children.
We often see that children who sleep very deeply or suffer from stress or exciting periods can also be well helped by using the bedwetting alarm. It may take a little more time and patience at first, but with consistent training, your child will learn to respond to the signal and eventually wake up dry.
Thus, a bedwetting alarm training is valuable for children over 4/5 years old who have difficulty staying dry at night. Often the case with deep sleepers, a bedwetting alarm can also be effective in situations where your child is not a deep sleeper. For example, a bedwetting alarm learns to recognize the signals between the brain and bladder through consistent training which decreases bedwetting and eventually helps your child become potty trained.
When in doubt, you can always reach out to our customer service team to get all your questions answered!
From what age can the bedwetting alarm training method be used?
From 4/5 years of age, the bedwetting alarm is a good solution against nighttime bedwetting. The child is then old enough to train signals that go from the bladder to the brain. Younger is also possible, but then it will probably take longer before the child is dry because the child's brain is not yet well enough developed to recognize all the signals.
How long does the bedwetting alarm training last?
On average, children are dry three months after using the bedwetting alarm. Every child that wets his or her bed is different and this is reflected in the treatment times. One child gets used to it right away and quickly stops bedwetting, the other child has a deeper problem that requires more time.
According to research, it takes an average of 52 days before a child does not wet the bed for 4 consecutive weeks. Some children are dry after 3 weeks, and others after 4 months.
Using the Dryly® bedwetting alarm, 93% of children are dry within 8 weeks!
My child is not making progress, now what?
Progress is already when your child has fewer accidents at night than at the beginning. Every child is different so the progress will be different for everyone. It is important to check with yourself whether you are following the recommended procedures.
These three points are very important:
- Getting up at night with your child. This causes broken nights and is not fun, but is crucial to the success of the bedwetting alarm method.
- Letting your child hear the sound of the alarm a few times before going to sleep. You can do that in the Dryly® bedwetting alarm app at "go to bed.'' That way your child knows which sound to wake up at
- Giving compliments when things go well will give your child even more motivation to solve the bedwetting problem!
Is there a risk of relapse?
It sometimes happens that a child starts wetting the bed again after you stop using the bedwetting method. This can happen if you stopped too early
or if your child is experiencing a period of stress, for example. After your child is dry, you should continue using the bedwetting alarm method.
We find that it is relatively easy to get bladder control back on track if it has worked before. It's all about persistence and consistency. You can always contact customer service for tips or extra support!

How does the Dryly® bedwetting alarm work?
A Dryly® bedwetting alarm includes a mobile app, a transmitter, a receiver, sensor underwear and Wizzu the panda. The Superhero package also includes a 100% waterproof mattress protector.
When it's time for bed, your child puts on the Dryly® underwear to which the transmitter attaches. The receiver goes into Wizzu's back, so it looks like Wizzu himself wakes up your child. You place Wizzu the panda bear next to your child's bed. Not in bed!!! (Because your child really needs to wake up).
As soon as it pees, the transmitter (which clips onto the underwear) tells the receiver and the alarm in Wizzu goes off. This wakes up your
child immediately! You get Wizzu off by removing the transmitter from the underwear,
so it no longer signals to the receiver. After this you shake Wizzu back and forth 8-12x
after which the receiver stops ringing. Because the alarm goes off at the
first drop, your child (unconsciously) learns to recognize the signal of a full bladder
. When your child wakes up, he/she should immediately go to the bathroom to
pee out. Once back, your child puts on a clean pair of underwear with the transmitter
attached and the procedure begins again.
It is important to sound the alarm before your child goes to bed, that way your child knows what to wake up to.
In addition to making sound, the receiver in Wizzu also sends a message over the Wi-Fi network to the parents' mobile application. The parents are immediately informed and can have their child urinate and change their pants if necessary. Parental support is crucial to the peeing alarm method.
Can one bedwetting alarm be used for two children?
A bedwetting alarm can be used for one child at a time. It is, however, possible to connect two children with the Dryly® bedwetting alarm to one app at the same time.
Can you put multiple bedwetting alarms in the app?
You can connect multiple children from one family to your Dryly bedwetting alarm app. One account allows you to create and manage multiple children from one family. It is not possible to add a child linked to another account.
What's in the starter kit?
You order the Dryly® Starter Kit, we'll make it a party! With this kit you are all set to work with your child in a positive way with bedwetting.
Included in the kit is one very friendly panda bear, Wizzu. He is the friend of all children and is full of innovative gadgets. In addition, you will receive two, three or four pants depending on the package you choose. In the weekender pants are sensor wires that detect moisture. We have underwear with cool colors and underwear for situations where more discretion is desired. On these underwear you can attach the Dryly® Transmitter that sends a signal to Wizzu when an accident happens. Wizzu wakes up your child with sound and immediately sends an alarm to the parents' mobile application via the Wi-Fi network. The Superhero bedwetting alarm kit also includes a waterproof mattress protector which keeps bedding dry and your child back to sleep quickly!
The starter pack includes:
- 2, 3 or 4 Dryly® Pants.
- Dryly® panda comforter (wizzu)
- Dryly® Receiver
- Dryly® Transmitter
- Dryly® Manual
- Waterproof mattress protector (With purchase of Superhero package)
- Mobile application for iOS and Android
The bedwetting alarm
My baby turns a lot at night, will everything stay put?
The Dryly bedwetting alarm underwear has special snaps with extra good grip. This keeps the transmitter securely in the underwear even at night.
The transmitter does not stay on the shorts properly at night, now what?
Try pressing the transmitter firmly onto the underwear and pulling on the transmitter for a moment as a test. If the transmitter doesn't stay on, you can always put Dryly® sensor pants over it. That way, the transmitter will stay put in all cases, even if your child turns a lot while sleeping!
My child is going away for a sleepover, can the bedwetting alarm come with me?
Yes, the bedwetting alarm can go along and work even when not connected to a wifi. This is the "offline mode. The alarm continues to work, but no messages are sent to the Dryly® pee alarm app.
Can the bedwetting alarm also be used during the day?
In principle, the bedwetting alarm can also be used during the day. However, it is important that the receiver is within range of the transmitter, which is about 10 meters.
Can diaper/bedwetting pants be used over Dryly® underwear?
No, this goes against the bedwetting alarm method. It is not the intention to use diapers during potty training. Of course, we understand that
it is tempting to keep the bed clean in order to move on quickly, in which case you can put an extra pair of Dryly® pants over it. In addition, Dryly® mattress pads are 100% waterproof so you can still keep the bed clean!
Does my child really need to wake up when the alarm goes off?
It is really important that your child is fully awake when he/she goes to pee at night. So don't take them to the bathroom sleep-deprived. A good way to test this is to agree on a code word or have them do some math. You can also check the day after to see if the toilet visit is remembered.
I always wake my child up to let him/her pee through the night to avoid an accident, now what?
This depends very much on the situation. The most important starting point is for your child to adventure into dry nights in a positive way. If your child wets the bed three times a night, it may be a good idea to set up preventive toilet visits so that the alarm only goes off once or twice in a night.
My child is having a relapse, now what?
A relapse is quite normal and often happens to children who have been dry or on an upward trend for a while. Tell your child that it's not crazy at all and
that you'll get back together. Keep in mind that other causes such as a bladder infection can also be a cause.
It is always smart to contact your doctor if the relapse lasts longer.
If you are training with the bedwetting alarm method, it is important that you train until you have 14 consecutive dry nights.
How do I re-pair my Dryly bedwetting alarm?
How do I re-pair my Dryly bedwetting alarm?
If your child returns from a sleepover or has been on vacation with the bedwetting alarm, for example, you will need to reconnect the Dryly bedwetting alarm to the Dryly app. You can do this by following the step-by-step plan below:
1. Perform ''Reset 1''. You do this as follows: Make sure the set is on with the transmitter next to the receiver. Press the black button on the receiver for at least 20 seconds. If you release the button, you will hear "Transmitter out of range.'' This resets the set to factory settings (The wifi & bluetooth data will be erased).
2. After this you need to pair the transmitter and receiver again. This is done by charging the transmitter on top of the receiver together for 01:30 minute. After this you will hear ''transmitter connected'' which is the signal that the transmitter is connected to the receiver again. If the transmitter is connected to the receiver again, then you can pair the set with the app again.
3. Re-pair the set to the app by pressing ''My Wizzu'' from the hamburger menu at the top left. Pressing this will take you to the screen where your active Wizzu's are listed. Are your transmitter & receiver still there? Then click here and delete the active sender & receiver from the app (all data remain stored on the child profile). Now it says''no receivers found'' and the set can be paired with the app again.
4. Now press''Pair Wizzu'' and select the child you want to re-pair. Select ''Receiver Version B'' and then click next step. Next is the ''Final Check'' where you will be asked if you have everything on hand. If you have the Transmitter, Receiver and your wifi name and password at hand, click the sliders to the right. Note! Make sure you have the WiFi password handy that you don't need to get out of the app.
5. You now come to the page with the three final steps, remove the charger from your set and place the transmitter next to the receiver. Press the black button once, you will now hear a starting sound. Then press ''Next Step'' and ''Connect to Wizzu.''
The final steps in the app differ on Apple and Android, below are the steps for both types of phones:
iOS: You get a pop-up notification, press ''connect'' here, and wait until you see a list of all nearby WiFi networks. Select your home network and enter the WiFi Password without leaving the app. After this you will see confetti and the connection to the app has succeeded!
Android: When you have pressed ''Connect to Wizzu'' you will also get a pop-up notification at the bottom. Press ''Wizzu'' hereafter you will see a list of home networks. Select your home network and enter the WiFi Password without leaving the app. After this you will get one more pop-up message. Then press ''Wi-Fi Settings'' and then directly press ''Done''.
You are now connected to the app! If you get stuck somewhere, contact klantenservice@dryly.com or by phone at (085) 106 03 77.
The alarm (receiver/transmitter/app)
My child does not wake up to the sound of the receiver
Children who wet the bed are generally deep sleepers. It is possible that at the beginning of bedwetting alarm training your child may not wake up. It is important to realize that it is a training that may take three months. It really does take time. It's certainly not weird if your child doesn't wake up to it at first, especially the first two weeks can be very intense.
What is very important to do is to let your child hear Wizzu' s alarm (the receiver) before bedtime. You can do this by pressing the 'go to bed' (blue bar) menu of the app and then selecting your child. This will take you to the 'sleep' menu where the top bar says 'Play Wizzu's alarm sound'. Pressing the 'play' button
brings the sound of Wizzu from your phone.
If you play this sound a few times before bedtime, chances are your child will wake up to it at night. This really does take 1 to 2 weeks.
Two tips to use in pee alarm training if you are not seeing results yet:
1. Remove the receiver from Wizzu (The Panda Bear) so the sound is a little louder, this can make a big difference for some deep-sleeping children.
2. First wake your child up properly and let him/her remove the transmitter from the underwear and shake Wizzu by him/her self. This will teach your child to associate the actions with bedwetting.
The receiver alarm did not go off, nor did the alarm in the app.
The cause of this problem could be due to several components, which is why we will go through them all.
Did the mishap enter the Dryly app?
- No, to next check
- Yes
- Turn the receiver on and off. When the receiver is turned on, a start prompt is played.
- If no start prompt follows or at the "low battery voltage" message, charge the receiver for 3 hours. (Check the battery voltage in the mobile app under the heading "my Wizzu).
- Turn the set on again and wait 15 seconds for the message, "Wizzu successfully connected."
- Do a test by placing a metal surface (spoon or knife) on the two push buttons of the transmitter and wait for the receiver to go off. If all goes well, the alarm will now go off.
- If it still does not play a sound and the receiver is charged, there is something wrong with the receiver, in this case contact customer service.
- Check if you have given permission on the phone to receive notifications from Dryly® with urgent priority and also always check that the app's sound is on (and not deactivated in settings) and the correct receiver is registered
- Check that your phone is not set to "do not disturb" or you have given permission on the phone to receive notifications from Dryly® with urgent priority
Android:
- In your phone, go to Settings > Sound or sounds and vibrate. Go to "Do Not Disturb." If this option is not on the screen, swipe down first. Under "Enable now" check to see if this feature is off.
- Go to your notification settings, find the Dryly® app and check that all checkboxes are enabled.
- Check that there are no apps from parties installed that always keep any notifications silent.
iOS:
- Go to Settings and hit 'do not disturb/focus', you will see there at what time the 'do not disturb' mode turns on.
- Of course, your silence mode must also be off (button on the left side of your phone).
- The Dryly® app has also requested permissions for urgent notifications. Didn't the app do that? Go to "settings" on your phone and then Dryly®. Go to notifications. Check that the following are set to on: "allow critical notifications, 'allow messaging', 'sounds' and 'badges.'"
- In the Dryly app, go to "Settings. See if the "All app alarms silent?" box is checked (to the left). Also set the "alarm volume" to adequate.
- In the Dryly app, go to 'My Wizzu', is the correct receiver registered? Check in the app at ' my account' if the correct account is logged in.
The accident has not caused an alarm and also not a notification in the app. Go through the following steps
- First, check that the receiver is working and that the notification is visible in the message center of the Dryly® app.
- Turn the receiver off and then on again. When the receiver is turned on, a start notification is played.
- If no start notification follows or at the "low battery voltage" message, charge the receiver for 3 hours. (Check the battery voltage in the mobile app under the heading "my Wizzu).
- Do a test by placing a metal surface (spoon or knife) on the transmitter and wait to see if the receiver goes off. If all goes well, the alarm will go off.
- If still no sound is played and the receiver is charged then there is something wrong with the receiver, contact customer service (085) 106 03 77
- Check the sensor shorts if the alarm still does not go off during the night.
The receiver alarm goes off, but I get no alarms in my Dryly® app.
This can be due to several aspects (WIFI, Internet, phone, receiver). Below we will try to rule it out piece by piece.
- Check that you have given permission on the phone to receive notifications from Dryly® with urgent priority and also always check that the app's sound is on (and not deactivated in settings) and the correct receiver is registered
- Check that your phone is not set to "do not disturb" and that you have given
permission to receive notifications from Dryly®
receive with urgent priority
Android:
- In your phone, go to Settings > Sound or sounds and vibrate. Go to "Do Not Disturb.'' If this option is not on the screen, swipe down first. Check "Enable now" to see if this feature is off.
- Go to your notification settings, find the Dryly® app and check that all checkmarks are enabled.
- Check that there are no party apps installed that are silencing any notifications.
iOS:
- Go to Settings and hit 'do not disturb/focus', you will see there at what time the 'do not disturb' mode turns on.
- Of course, your silent mode should also be off (button on the left side of your phone).
- The Dryly® app also requested permissions for urgent notifications. Didn't the app do that? Go to "settings" on your phone and then Dryly®. Go to notifications. Check that the following are set to on: "allow critical notifications, "allow messaging," "sounds," and "badges.''
- In the Dryly® app, go to "Settings. See if the "All app alarms silent?" box is checked (to the left). Also set the "alarm volume" to adequate.
- In the Dryly® app, go to 'My Wizzu', is the correct receiver registered? Check in the app at ' my account' if the correct account is logged in.
Also check if the date under ' Last seen' is current (maximum 60 minutes). If this is older Wizzu may have problems connecting to your WiFi and it is not the fault of your phone. Does your home network have a fixed lease for IP addresses or is DHCP mode off? If so, Wizzu is not getting Internet connections. If so, change the settings on your network.
- If after these checks it is still not clear where exactly it is going wrong, you can still run the test below.
The receiver's alarm goes off, but the alarm comes in with a delay (>1min)
Many phones have a ''do not disturb'' mode on at night that blocks notifications. The idea behind this is that it gives the user peace of mind. In this case, this is not so convenient because you would like to wake up the moment your child pees. You can turn this off by turning off the ''do not disturb'' mode. In Android, this goes differently than in iOS/Apple.
Android
- In your phone, go to Settings > Sound or sounds and vibration. Go to "Do Not Disturb." If this option is not on the screen, swipe down first. Look under "enable now" to see if this feature is off.
- Go to your notification settings, find the Dryly® app and check that all checkboxes are enabled.
- Check that there are no party apps installed that always keep any notifications silent.
iOS:
- Go to Settings and hit 'do not disturb/focus', you will see there at what time the 'do not disturb' mode turns on.
- The Dryly® app also requested permissions for urgent notifications. Didn't the app do that? Go to "settings" on your phone and then Dryly®. Go to notifications. Check that the following are set to on: "allow critical notifications, "allow messaging," "sounds" and "badges.''
- Try an evening without connecting to the Wi-Fi network. It is still common to find that the connection is more active when the device is not on Wi-Fi.
- A possible solution may also be to use the Dryly® app on a tablet/other device. This will help determine if the problem is device related or another problem.
- Check that your WIFI router has a constant and stable internet connection and that the time zones of this device are correct. Sometimes WIFI networks are so weak that Wizzu loses its connection and sometimes can pick up again. Make sure you have sufficient quality WIFI coverage in places where you place the transmitter. A helpful tip is to set Wizzu where it will be placed (usually near the nightstand).
Alarm goes off while there is no accident
Occasionally there may be a manufacturing defect in the shorts that causes the two wires to be too close together, this causes the transmitter to automatically send a signal to the receiver when there is no accident. This makes the transmitter think the circuit is closed, which means an "accident.
- Press the transmitter on the shorts, turn on the system as usual. Squeeze the shorts; if the alarm goes off contact customer service. This means there is a manufacturing defect in the shorts.
- If the above works well and thus no alarm goes off there are two possibilities:
- To get to a proper diagnosis faster next time, you can give the "suspect" underwear a unique identifier so that if the same problem recurs, a warranty replacement can be proceeded with. In that case, contact customer service.
Dryly® Bedwetting alarm App
Does the Dryly® app consume a lot of mobile data?
The Dryly app is a type of app that uses extremely little Internet bandwidth. This is because it only retrieves values from the server.
I get no notifications in the Dryly App
Notice that notifications are not coming through properly in the Dryly app? Below are some possible causes and solutions:
1. Enable notifications: It may be that you have not yet allowed all notifications, to do this, first look in the Dryly app at settings and make sure silent mode is disabled. Besides the notifications in the app, it is also possible that in the general settings of your phone you have not ticked everything correctly. To do this, go to Settings -> Apps -> Dryly and check here if you have allowed all notifications.
2. Airplane mode/night mode: It may well be that you, as a parent, sleep with airplane mode or night mode. Make sure you don't have any of these modes on. This may be in between the pee alarm and notifications.
3. Reset 1: We also sometimes see that an installation is not completed correctly and notifications do not come in. In this case, follow the steps again to connect.
None of this seems to work? Please contact our customer service. You can do this by phone at (085) 106 03 77 or by email at klantenservice@dryly.com.
Can I use the Dryly® bedwetting alarm without WIFI?
Yes! Even if your child goes to sleep over, Wizzu can just come along! Wizzu will not send a message to the mobile application, but will wake up your child to pee via Wizzu the panda bear!
So this all works in offline mode, it works as follows:
The offline mode is a special mode for families who do not want to use the pee alarm app
or if the child goes to sleep outside the house.
- If you are already connected to the WiFi at home, turn on the receiver by pressing the black button once (make sure the transmitter is off the receiver).
- Now hold the black button for at least 20 seconds and then release it. The set will turn off. Turn the receiver back on, you will now hear the message ''Transmitter out of range.'' The reset is now successfully done.
- Now click the transmitter back on the receiver and put it on the charger (the light is on). After 1:30 minute, the receiver says ''transmitter connected.'' The transmitter is now connected to the receiver.
- Remove the receiver from the charger and place the transmitter next to the receiver. Turn on the receiver, after 5 minutes the message ''Wizzu in offline-mode.'' will appear automatically.
- Now the set is in offline mode and you can start training. Will you use the set again later? Turn it on and wait another 5 minutes for the message ''Wizzu in offline mode.'' You can start training again.
Once Wizzu is back on its familiar network, it immediately updates your calendar with dry and wet nights it has made offline.
Wizzu cannot connect to the WIFI, now what?
This can have a number of causes. First, it is important to charge the receiver for 3 hours before the first use, if the set is not charged properly then it
may not be able to connect.
Secondly, the order of the installation steps is important. The steps should be done in the following order.
Do you have the Dryly® transmitter, receiver and wifi data handy? Make sure the receiver is charged for at least 3 hours before first use. Download the app and create an account. Enter your child's information.
- Go to my Wizzu and press pair Wizzu (blue button).
- Select the child you want to pair the Wizzu with.
- Follow the steps and press I am ready
- Check if you have everything on hand using the app checklist.
- Press "Check, let's start".
- Read through the steps calmly
- Turn on the receiver, is it already on? Turn it off by pressing the black button for 3 seconds and then turn the receiver on again by pressing the black button once. It is important for the receiver to enter ''pairing mode.'' This takes about three minutes, so please wait three minutes
- In the app, press "Next step"
- In the app, press "Connect to Wizzu"
- Does your phone ask to connect to ''Wizzu''? Then press ''Connect''
- Wait a moment for your phone to connect to the Wizzu wifi network
- Select your home network
- Enter the password of your home network and press ''Ok''
- Wait until everything is set up correctly
- If the receiver is successfully connected to the Internet, then
it will indicate ''Wizzu is successfully connected''.
Finally, always check that the permission settings around "location" are correct.
- Go to settings of your phone
- Go to the Dryly app
- Go to "location"
- Make sure the check mark is behind "always"
The Dryly® app on iOS and Android needs this permission to connect to local WiFi networks in your area. Because during setup Wizzu temporarily connects a WiFi
to your phone and the Dryly® app, this ''Always'' permission is needed during this process.
My phone does not automatically connect to Wizzu in the app
This is sporadic on Android phones. The app will offer to do this manually on a 2nd or 3rd attempt. The Android phone will inform the user to do this themselves. With the button, it then refers to the settings app on your phone. You then press the Dryly® WiFi network and then directly
yourself back to the app.
Can I use the app on multiple phones?
Yes, you can create an account by phone and invite it with the device the bedwetting alarm is registered to.
In the Dryly® app to "settings" and press "Invite Parent. After entering the name and email, a link will be sent for the invited party to open. However, the receiving party must already have the Dryly® app installed.

How do I turn down the Dryly® app alarm?
If you want to turn down the sound of the alarm in the app, you must do so every time the "to bed" ritual is completed. This is because the app sets the volume to maximum after the "to bed" ritual. You can do this by moving the bullet at "Alarm Volume" to the left in settings.
Menu>>Settings>>Alarm volume (after each "to bed" ritual)
Alarm goes off 3 times in a row at 1 minute intervals
If you receive an alarm via push notification on your device, you can press this. Pressing this indicates that you have seen the alarm. The alarm
is then turned off on the server. If you do not press the push notification, you will get a new push notification twice every other minute. So you have to open the app when you get the notification, this automatically turns off the alarm.
Also if you wait too long to open the push notification or shake out the receiver in Wizzu the panda bear you will get a new push notification.
The notification in the app comes much later than Wizzu goes off
The connection between Wizzu and the transmitter is directly via bluetooth. After the transmitter sends a message to the receiver, the receiver then sends an anonymous notification of the alarm to the secure server over the Internet and it sends
another notification to the app. The average processing time is between 2 and 3 seconds but it can take a while for the phone to process it. Any
longer delays are often due to poor Internet, unstable
WIFI connection or a phone in power saving mode.
At night, notifications come through in the app with much delay
Many phones have night mode on at night which blocks notifications. The idea behind this is that it gives the user peace of mind. In this case, this is not so convenient because you would like to wake up the moment your child pees. You can turn this off by turning off night mode. On Android, this goes differently than on iOS/Apple.
Android
- In your phone, go to Settings > Display and Brightness. See if "Night Shift" is on.
- go to your notification settings, find the Dryly® app and check that all the checkmarks are enabled.
- check that there are no party apps installed that always keep any notifications silent.
iOS:
- go to Settings and hit 'do not disturb/focus', you will see there at what time the 'do not disturb' mode turns on.
- The Dryly® app also has
requested permissions for urgent notifications. Didn't the app do that? Go to "settings" on your phone and then Dryly®. Go to notifications. Check that the following are turned on: "allow critical notifications," "allow messaging," "sounds" and "badges. - Try an evening without connecting to the Wi-Fi network. It is still common to find that the connection is more active when the device is not on wifi.
- Another possible solution may be to install the Dryly® app on a tablet/other device.
A useful tip is to set up Wizzu where it will be placed.
How does the app's point system work?
There are 3 ways to earn points. With these points your child can buy gadgets to dress up Wizzu
- At the start of the training, if everything is installed properly, your child gets 75 points
- Before the night when completing the checklist, your child gets 50 points
- For every accident during the night, your child gets 20 points
At Dryly® we believe that an accident does not have to be a negative experience. With every accident your child learns that it is part of the journey to potty training, therefore it is rewarded!

Receiver
How do I charge the receiver?
You charge the transmitter & receiver with a USB-C charger. You do this by clicking the transmitter onto the receiver and then putting it on the charger. You need to charge the set every other night, +/- 4 hours .
How do I know if the receiver is charging?
You can tell from the receiver's light whether the transmitter and receiver are charging. When you charge the set, the light turns red. When the receiver
is fully charged the light turns green.
How long does the receiver battery last?
You need to turn offthe receiver during the day. This way, the receiver will last for two nights. Therefore, we recommend, to charge the receiver and transmitter every other day . In the app, you can see the battery percentage of the receiver.
Should the receiver be on or off during the day?
To make sure the receiver is full at night, you should turn the receiver off during the day.
Can the receiver's sound be louder or softer?
The sound of the receiver can be adjusted, this can be done in different modes. For this, the set must be on. You can adjust the sound of the receiver by pressing the black button once briefly.
The set always starts with a volume of 100%
1x press = 75%/ press again = 50%/ press again = silent mode/ press again = again 100%.
NotePress the button for about 1 second and make sure there are small gaps of 3 seconds before pressing the button again to adjust the volume. At any nighttime mishap, it is important to reapply these steps, the receiver will go automatically to 100% volume after a night accident.
In silent mode, only the app goes off (and vibrator should you have this version). Handy for discreet moments like sleepovers!
How do I turn on the receiver?
Press the black button once. You will hear a sound; the receiver is on.
If the transmitter and receiver are not yet paired with each other, the receiver will indicate the error code out of range and then turn itself off again. In that case, you should put the transmitter on the receiver in the charger. The set will then
speak ''transmitter connected'' after about 01:30 minute after which you can pair the set
with the app.
How do I turn off the receiver?
Press the button for three seconds. You will see the light go out; the receiver is off.
Does this not work? Then perform reset 2 (see below), this will reset the receiver to factory settings and it should be fully functional again. The receiver will remember all data and your account will not be lost.
What do the different colors of lights mean?
Green= 40-100% | Red= 0-40%
Notice! The light only displays the receiver's battery. To check the exact battery percentage of transmitter & receiver you can check in the app.
How do I perform reset 1?
Make sure the set is on with the transmitter away from the receiver. Press the black button on the receiver for 20 seconds. After doing this you will hear "Transmitter out of range..'' This resets the set back to factory settings (The wifi network the transmitter & app pairing will be cleared).
After this you need to re-pair the transmitter and receiver by charging for 01:30 minute after which you will hear ''transmitter connected''again and the transmitter is connected to the receiver again. Once the transmitter is connected to the receiver again, then you can pair the set with the app again.
How do I perform reset 2?
Press a pin or paper clip into the hole made in the letter "D" on the receiver. The light will blink, this resets the receiver to factory settings. You do not have to re-pair the set using reset 1.
How do I put the receiver in silent mode?
You turn on the receiver by pressing the black button once. When the receiver is on, press the black button three times. After pressing the button three times, the receiver is in silent mode. In doing so, it is important that you hold the button down for about 1 second at 3-second intervals.
In silent mode, only the app goes off (and vibration transmitter should you have this variant). Handy for discreet moments like sleepovers!
NOTE: This info on fault codes is only suitable for packages with a purchase date up to May 12, 2023.
Error codes
When I turn on the receiver I immediately hear ''transmitter out of range'', now what?
When the transmitter has not yet connected to the receiver you will hear the message ''transmitter out of range.'' This means that you have not yet paired the transmitter and receiver.
Cause
There can be two causes for this problem, the set should speak the message ''transmitter connected'' after 01:30 minutes on the charger. If this is not the case then it could be due to:
Charged set
At first use it is important to charge the set properly! Do this +/- 4 hours with the transmitter on the receiver. Don't you do this? Then the set can not connect with each other.
Faulty charger
If the transmitter does not connect to the receiver, this may be due to a faulty charger. Check that the charger is functioning properly. A non-working charger can cause the connection between transmitter and receiver not to be found. Always test a second charger.
Solution
If the problem persists and you cannot find a connection between transmitter and receiver then something in the receiver does not seem to be going quite right. In this case, contact Dryly® customer service immediately.
My bedwetting alarm keeps going off in the night, now what?
If the bedwetting alarm keeps alarming at night for no apparent reason then something is not going quite right and it is hugely annoying! There can be a number of reasons for this:
The transmitter is still attached to the pants
When your child has a nighttime accident, it is obviously important to run to the toilet as quickly as possible to pee out. In these quick situations, you naturally want to get the alarm out quickly but sometimes forget to remove the transmitter from the pants and then shake the receiver. Because the transmitter is still in contact with the punderwear, impulses from the wet underwear keep coming, so make sure to always remove the transmitter from the underwear.
Moisture on the snaps of the transmitter
At the beginning of a bedwetting alarm training we see that big nighttime accidents still often happen. In this case, there may be some moisture on the two push buttons of the transmitter. Pat it dry with a cloth and then shake the receiver again.
Reset 2
Press a pin or paper clip into the hole in the letter "D" on the receiver. The light will blink, this resets the receiver to factory settings. It is possible that there is a malfunction in the receiver that causes the alarm to keep going off. After this, do a metal test to see if the alarm goes off now with shaking. A metal test is done by pressing a metal object against the two push buttons of the transmitter to simulate an accident.
If you still can't get the alarm to go off after these three steps, contact Dryly® customer service.
My bedwetting alarm drops out during the night, now what?
If the bedwetting alarm suddenly cuts out overnight, it may indicate a problem with the battery or connection. The device may be insufficiently charged or there is a connection failure. Below are the solutions to prevent this:
Charge the set properly
The set should be charged properly every other day, do this for +/- 4 hours every other day. If you don't do this and the receiver's battery has too low battery percentage then the battery may fail during the night.
Connection between transmitter and receiver
The transmitter and receiver connect to each other with a bluetooth connection. This connection is generally strong and it is really made for children to get out of bed by themselves. Occasionally, children may be sleeping on their stomachs or sleeping heavily, which suppresses the signal. If this is the case for a long time, the transmitter and receiver try to find each other but sometimes fail because the body blocks the Bluetooth signal. In that case we recommend placing the receiver a little closer to the child at hip height. This way the signal is optimal and the receiver will no longer fail!
Should the set still fail after both solutions, please contact Dryly® customer service.
Wizzu is in offline mode, now what?
You get this notification automatically after 5 minutes when you are not yet connected to a WiFi connection and therefore not connected to the app. This way, you can use the bedwetting alarm when your child sleeps away from home but still needs to be woken up to pee.
Cause
This error code can have several causes. The most obvious is that your home network does not have an Internet connection. Another common cause of this message is the use of "wifi extenders. In many households, these are used to boost the Wi-Fi signal to provide coverage in the basement or attic. If the 'wifi extender' itself has a poor connection to your wifi network, the receiver obviously fails to connect to the Internet via this device.
Solution
You can easily test the quality of the connection by connecting to the same wifi network yourself that the receiver is connected to. Then go to a website or YouTube and see if the content loads quickly.
If the problem persists, you can try connecting to another network if you have one at your disposal. Otherwise, contact Dryly® customer service.
My transmitter is out of range, now what?
You may sometimes see the message ''transmitter out of range'' in the app. This means that the transmitter needs to be activated one more time (you sometimes see this right after installation when an initial impulse from an accident is required to load everything properly).
Cause
When you have completed the installation, you will see in the app the battery percentages of transmitter + receiver under ''My Wizzu'' in the left hamburger menu. When it says ''transmitter out of range'' here, it looks like the transmitter still needs to be activated once.
Solution
Remove the transmitter from the receiver, then turn on the set if not already. Wait until you hear ''Wizzu successfully connected'' after 15 seconds. The transmitter and receiver are now connected.
Take a metal object (knife or scissors for example) to simulate an accident. You do this by holding this metal object against the two push buttons of the transmitter for about 3 seconds. Remove the metal object from the snaps again and stop the alarm by shaking the receiver back and forth. Process all notifications in the app and return to the ''My Wizzu'' page to see if the transmitter's battery percentage is now in there.
Is it not? If so, contact Dryly® customer service.
My transmitter no longer charges, now what?
If the transmitter does not charge then this could mean that there is a problem with the receiver's charging cable or battery or that of the transmitter, as the transmitter charges through the receiver. This too can have a number of causes and solutions
:
Reset 2
It may be that there is something in the receiver that is not working properly and therefore the transmitter cannot charge. In that case, you can perform a reset 2. Press a pin or paper clip into the hole made in the letter "D" of the receiver. The light will blink, this resets the receiver to factory settings. Now charge the set for a few hours and see if the transmitter battery is charging in the meantime.
Re-pairing the bedwetting alarm with the app
Also try re-pairing the bedwetting alarm with the app by performing a ''Reset 1''. This way, the battery percentages will load correctly again in the app. You perform a reset 1 by:
Make sure the set is on with the transmitter off the receiver. Press the black button on the receiver for 20 seconds. After doing this you will hear "Transmitter out of range". This resets the set back to factory settings (The wifi network the transmitter & app pairing will be erased). After this you need to re-pair the transmitter and receiver by charging for 01:30 minute after which you will hear ''transmitter connected'' again and the transmitter is connected to the receiver again.
If, after these two solutions, the transmitter battery is still dead, please contact Dryly® customer service.
My bedwetting alarm rattles, now what?
If the bedwetting alarm rattles, this may indicate that the alarm's microphone is loose. Although in most cases this does not affect the operation of the bedwetting alarm, the sound can be disturbing and you may become insecure while using it. It is therefore advisable to contact Dryly® customer service to resolve the inconvenience.
NOTE: This FAQ about transmitter 2.0 is only suitable for packages with a purchase date from May 12, 2023.
Transmitter
How do I charge the transmitter?
You charge the transmitter by clicking the transmitter onto the receiver and then placing it on the charger. You need to charge the transmitter every other night, +/- 4 hours.
The receiver gives the message ''transmitter out of range.''
You may hear the message "Transmitter out of range." This means that the receiver has been searching for the transmitter's signal for a while, but has been unable to dectect it.
Cause: The transmitter is not yet paired with the receiver.
When you receive our pee alarm, pairing the transmitter is part of the process. You pair the transmitter with the receiver by charging them together. After 1:30 minute, the set says "transmitter connected" You only have to do this once and you will hear it once. Don't you hear this? Perform reset 1 and try again. This step may not have gone quite right. Consult Dryly® customer service.
Reset 1
Press the black button on the receiver for 20 seconds. Make sure the set is on. After this you will hear 'Transmitter out of range'. This resets the set back to factory settings (The wifi network, transmitter & app pairing will be erased) After this you need to re-pair the transmitter and receiver while charging.
Reset 2
Press a pin into the hole in the letter ''D'' of the receiver. This will restart the receiver. You do not need to re-pair the set.
